35 years in the furrier trade entails maintaining high standards
Margitpels is situated at 118, Store Kongensgade in central Copenhagen near Amalienborg Slot (the Royal Castle) and the Little Mermaid.
The Furrier’s was established in1974 as a traditional furrier’s and has always produced the vast majority of its range itself.
The thinking behind the business is that the skins, the leather, the sheepskin and the suede are carefully chosen and bought, either at fur auctions or at tanneries. This, together with the business’s designers and other partners, ensures that a high standard is maintained.
The business has now been taken over by the second generation, who have upheld the same principles and have diversified the range to include fur accessories, belts and bags. There is also a wide range of stretch-leather trousers, all of which can be tailored to fit individual customers.

“Our aim is to advise the customer to chose the right fur ,” says Margit Ioannou Gjerding. “ Buying a furcoat is often for life, thus it is important that the needs of the customer are met. We have sold furs to customers from all over the world and offer tax-free refunding.”

OWN COLLECTION
Our own collection consists of fur jackets, fur waist coats, leather trousers, leather jackets, fur hats, head bands, ear muffs, leather shorts and skirts etc.
As a supplement to our own collection, we also stock a number of external brands whose quality we can vouch for.
